I admit– I get discouraged. I let minor set backs make me feel like I have lost everything. Looking back, I always realize this is not the case though. It just takes a great deal of strength and courage to get back up and keep fighting. If you are like me, you are your own worst enemy. I have to constantly remind myself that eventually the storm will pass and the sun will shine again.
Always remember that nothing worth having in life comes easy and that, in the end, when you look back at how far you had to go to reach your goal, you will be that much more proud of yourself. Now is the time to take my own advice, I know. I am human. I make mistakes a bit too often, I encounter troubling situations, and a lot of the times, I let the negatives cloud my dreams for my future. I figure though, that if I can be open and honest with you all, that I will be able to hold myself accountable and prove to myself that my own advice actually works. Jessi used to always be there to motivate me when I fell like this. We always motivated each other whether with staying on top of classes or pursuing our fitness goals. After a good pep talk from Jessi, I always felt so powerful and ready to brush myself off and take on the coming day. She still inspires me to be a better person. I figure now, that I have to listen to my own advice because Jessi is checking up on me from Heaven, and who could let her down? Certainly not me. That is just what I hoped this blog could do–give me and others hope and inspiration to allow us to carry on this journey called life.
Thank you for reminding me about set-backs. And thank you for your blog, it’s very inspirational.
