So how is your quarantine going? Mine is actually going pretty well believe it or now. I am crossing so many things off my “To Do Eventually” list, moving more throughout my day, and feeling overall more relaxed (you know, when I’m not thinking about the news and current events and future…). One day at a time everybody!

quarantine time
It’s crazy to think about how much has changed these last few weeks/days/hours. The world is a very different place. I am taking this time to get back to doing everything I love that I have been missing like personal training and blogging. I am posting workouts to my instagram that can be done with minimal equipment and include modifications to movement and equipment. I will be posting those videos here as well for you all.
There is so much to catch up on this blog, but I will slowing start updating things and find my ground again as I start posting again.
For now, stay kind, stay loving, stay inside or outside and six feet away from people.

back to my regularly scheduled program
I am back baby! Â Back to my regularly scheduled program. Â Last week and this week, I consistently got in the gym, something I use to do an auto pilot. Â It turns out though (I will say this over and over again), that when I spend the day programming and training for others, my workout plans go out the window. Â For a while that was just fine with me. Â I needed a rest, my days were jam packed, I was still staying active in my days… but my body adapted and got used to my non-training life, so I ramped up and prioritized my own workouts and I have never felt this good in a while!
train it tuesday trx & squats
This week’s work out includes the use of a TRX suspension system, or you can use gymnastics rings. Â You need some kind of suspension for rows or ring rows, where you hold on to the grips and pull your body up to the grips/handles/rings. Â It’s always a bonus to add a second pause at the top of the pull. Â Try it for yourself!
train it tuesday!
the open ended| crossfit
The 2018 CrossFit Open ended.  I did each workout as prescribed, meaning I lifted amounts of weight as written, and followed all the rules on burpees, handstand push-ups etc.  Each year, I can compare fitness to others around the world and see my ranking over the years.  I was a little disheartened at first to learn that I did worse than last year, according to my ranking.  Continue reading
opening open day | crossfit & goals
There is this thing.  It occurs every year, and it happens every week for five weeks beginning the end of February (today) to March.  It is known by those who are familiar with CrossFit as “The Open.”  Dun dun dun… It brings a crazy mix of feelings ranging from fear, excitement, nervousness, motivation, etc.  For those unfamiliar with the CrossFit world, it’s pretty much five surprise workouts announced weekly that brings together the CrossFit community.  It is incredible in that sense.  Community is huge in CrossFit.  Personally speaking, my gym and every coach, member, dog, etc. in it, do not just fall into the category of “fitness,” but also “friendship.”  The Open magnifies this experience globally.  That’s right.  I said, globally. Continue reading
a year can change you
A lot can happen in a year.  2015 has been my year that is without a doubt. I have grown in so many ways and really nailed down what I stand for and who I want to strive to become.  Of course, I am going to give you all a run down of how exactly how I have changed for the better this year, and you will get to see fun pics of some highlights of this year’s adventures with my friends, but to leave it at that would just be unfair.  Unfair because I am not the only one on this planet that has changed this year.  Every one of us has had an adventurous year for certain. defending a passion
If you’re passionate about something, and I mean really passionate about something, you pursue it through all ends of the Earth.  You stand for it.  You believe in it.  You defend it.  This “something” can take many forms whether it be a career, hobby, person, etc.  For me, this something is Crossfit. Â
dear scale
Dear Scale,
You decieve.  You trick.  You are bad with ratios.  You make others feel bad.  It’s not me, it’s 100% you.  I’m breaking up with you.Â
sincerely,Â
