christmas patience and presents--Journey for JessiChristmas eve and Christmas this year were very different.  I cannot think of a tradition that was followed to a tee this year.  I guess that is what happens when you grow older and you are the youngest in the family.  The Christmas season this year started out with a bang–maybe too much of a bang though, because my spirit slowly faded.  I felt like Cindy Lou Who from the Grinch.  I should have sung “Where are you Christmas” on repeat. refresh--Journey for JessiWhat have I been up to?  Well, other than the new fresh-faced blog appearance (let me know what you think in the comments), I have been bounding all over the place in my studies, life, and even changes in my environment.  I feel like I am already trying to get a fresh start on the New Year fast approaching.  For now, I will focus more on getting things caught up before I reveal my New Year’s resolutions in the making, which, should be revealed not a day sooner than New Year’s Day.  Instead, here is a refresher of the new things occurring in my life.

backyard yoga--Journey for JessiI have not felt myself lately.  I have felt bogged down, stressed out, and really anxious.  I often seem to spread myself too thin, trying to accomplish many tasks in a small amount of time in order to feel successful and make sure I do not let others down.  During one of my recent chaotic clouds though, I made myself pause for a moment to ask, “Aren’t I on summer break?”  One of my biggest fears in life is not having enough time, but if I am trying to cram too many experiences in a brief period of time, won’t I miss something?
