My oh my, where has the summer gone? It’s officially fall here in Colorado. The weather has been cooler, a slight breeze to the air, and sweater and boot season is upon us. I am happy fall is here. Athletes are focused. Athletes are dedicated. Athletes are ambitious. Athletes are intense. We do what it takes to train, practice, condition, work hard, fine-tune and push our limits to be the fittest and perform 110% at our sport. My chosen sport: CrossFit, the “sport of fitness” as it is known by the global CrossFit community.
For 2016, I am honing in my diet. For years I have struggled with body image and my relationship with food, but last year I managed to finally make peace with myself and food. I can honestly say that I love myself and fully appreciate my body now. Coming to terms and realizing self love did wonders to my relationship with food.
