I am doing the January Whole30 reset. Two years ago, I did a Paleo Challenge that sort of morphed into a Whole30. I didn’t do my research. I was new to it all. I begun with paleo and as I did more research, I stumbled upon the Whole30 and began following the program then. I slipped a few times, I cut it a day short, I didn’t scrutinize labels… It wasn’t really a Whole30 at all, which brings me to now. Continue reading

start those resolutions, now!
You call them resolutions, I call them my “New Year’s Intentions.”
Potâto, potāto. Let’s call the whole thing off–wait no, don’t do that. I want to keep with my intentions, and I know you want to keep with your resolutions this year too. Unfortunately, the majority of people drop off from their new year resolutions, even as soon as January.
I say, let’s be in the rough 8% that carry out their intentions/resolutions/goals this year. We can do it! And here’s how, start NOW! Continue reading
paleo challenge
For 2016, I am honing in my diet. For years I have struggled with body image and my relationship with food, but last year I managed to finally make peace with myself and food. I can honestly say that I love myself and fully appreciate my body now. Coming to terms and realizing self love did wonders to my relationship with food. a year can change you
A lot can happen in a year. 2015 has been my year that is without a doubt. I have grown in so many ways and really nailed down what I stand for and who I want to strive to become. Of course, I am going to give you all a run down of how exactly how I have changed for the better this year, and you will get to see fun pics of some highlights of this year’s adventures with my friends, but to leave it at that would just be unfair. making 2015 my year
Thanks to 2014, I have become stronger and grown quite a bit as an individual (see my last post). I am so excited for this new year as I have big personal goals and I plan on really sticking to them. In my second decade of life, I am tired of “floating” around through life. Granted, I do want to be more free-spirited, but in the grand scheme of things, I want to have vision. I want to be a dreamer and a doer.

highlights of 2014
Happy New Year all! I hope 2015 is bringing you as much inspiration and determination for you as it is for me. This is my recap post for the new year; I was going to do a recap and resolutions post, but it quickly will turn into a novel. Last year I gave up Facebook for quite some time. It was sporadic off and on. I really enjoyed cutting the ties from Facebook. Currently, I am back on, but once school starts again I will delete my personal page and just keep the Journey for Jessi page–so be sure to like it! Continue reading
