half a year spent blogging

Happy almost New Year!  I cannot believe the year I have had… It has been a crazy adventure to say the least, but one of my favorite and most memorable parts of the year, has been sharing it with you all!  I started this blog this past summer in June after losing my best friend back in May.  It was a life changing event and I am still in the process of coping and recovering.  I found comfort in blogging though.  I have always enjoyed writing and some say I am not too bad at it, despite the expected “engineers can’t write” stereotype.  I have always toyed with the idea of blogging, but nothing ever inspired me to keep up with my fallen web pages before.  The biggest push for me was being able to share Jessi’s story; she was my best friend and such a positive inspiration to my life the few years I had the pleasure of knowing her and her wonderful family.  In all honesty, I do not think I would be where I am today without her influence.

Thank you for listening and letting me share Jessi’s story with you all this year.  Thank you for continuing to support me and my journey as this blog continues to grow and get shared around the world.  A blog is nothing without its readers and followers.  So, cheers to you all!  I cannot do it without you!  (Stay tuned for something special planned… ;) ) I cannot wait to see what 2015 brings to the table, but before I start posting my New Year’s Resolutions, take a look at my WordPress Year in Review to see the influence my wonderful audience has had on Journey for Jessi…

  1. Thank you Emily for this blog. I look forward to reading the healthy delicious recipes with the great pictures. Most of all thank you for carrying on the memory of Jessi. Happy New Year to you, your family and all of your friends. My sister (Jessi’s mother) appreciates it, consequently, I do that much more :)
