In case you missed it last night on my snapchat (@emvalerioti), I made my first video recipe: Shrimp Tacos for Cinco de Mayo!  It’s definitely janky being my first video, and it was recorded on my snap and not a high end camera… BUT it was über fun to make!  I enjoyed it and I got fabulous feedback from everyone, so thanks y’all!  Here are the snips compiled together with the recipe below!  


Cinco de Mayo Shrimp Tacos

  • Servings: 3

Ingredients:cinco de mayo shrimp tacos | Journey for Jessi

  • 1 bag cooked shrimp
  • 1 tbsp guacamole, per taco
  • 1 head leaf lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 lime
  • cayenne pepper, to taste
  • red pepper flakes, to taste
  • salt, a pinch
  • hot sauce, to taste
  • cilantro, few fresh sprigs
  • sprouted corn tortillas
  1. Heat a skillet and toss in cooked shrimp to heat up and remove from heat to prevent overcooking.
  2. Juice half a lime onto the shrimp and add cayenne, pepper flakes and salt.
  3. Dice tomato.
  4. Shred lettuce.
  5. Heat up corn tortillas.
  6. Assemble tacos with guacamole, lettuce, tomato and tail-off shrimp.
  7. Top with more lime juice, hot sauce and cilantro.
